Meet Jenny

Jennifer Scott MAAT

Founder of Little House Accountants

I discovered my love for business and accountancy whilst studying my A Levels. I worked my way through my accountancy qualifications, whilst working as a Trainee Accountant at a local accountancy practice.

During my 8 years working at that practice, I worked my way up to Accounts Senior, gaining extensive experience working with small business owners and managers doing book-keeping, compliance, year-end accounts and management reporting.

After starting my family, I realised I wanted more flexibility professionally and could benefit from my expertise by starting my own business and working for myself. Working from home in my little terrace house, thus began the start of ‘Little House’.

Alongside studying for my accountancy exams, I began working with two construction companies, providing their 'in house finance function'. The services I provided ranged from general bookkeeping, management accounts to credit control, supporting them through various development projects and throughout the difficult Covid years.

I took on my first full time employee in 2022 and the business went from strength to strength. At the start of 2023 with my studies complete and an Accountants licence with AAT, I am excited to grow Little House and support businesses in their own journey.
